Jacob & Caleb's big day

Today is Jacob and Caleb's birthday. We made the decision to spend some time one on one with them today. We started the day slowly. We slept in and then David made pancakes. He really does make delicious pancakes and at home we love Sat mornings, as this is the day he makes them. But, here, it was a little different. The ingredients are of a different quality and we didn't really have the right equipment. The boys loved them! So did I and I know it made the boys' day to have Dad cook them for them.

After noon, we headed to The Equator, the local mall. Our first stop was the toy store. They brought some birthday money from home and were dying to spend it. Caleb bought Magnetix and Jacob bought...Spy Gear! Then boys wanted to ice skate. I had been the last 2 times, so David volunteered to do it with them today. I thoroughly enjoyed watching my guys skate. Then we headed to the arcade. After the arcade, I picked up some pants for N. It is difficult to shop here because the sizes are different and I can't tell the children's clothes from the adults. But, am glad I found one pair. We looked around and then headed home. Once home, we headed back out to the local bread store so they could pick out a cake. It turns out one wanted ice cream and the other a pastry.

We went home, ate some supper, sang Happy Birthday, and had the dessert. After baths, they wanted us all to watch a movie- WallE. Then off the bed. It was a warm, relaxing and fun day. So glad we had this special time with them. Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes. Each one of them gave them big smiles. They felt really loved today.

Tomorrow, we will go see A & N after school and spend the evening with them. Looking forward to court this week!

Happy Birthday to Jacob and Caleb!

You did good just being able to find all the ingredients for pancakes! Were you able to find syrup? We found sugar and honey. That was only because the sugar was in a clear wrapper and the honey was in a bear shaped container. lol We tried something that looked like jelly, but it wasn't sweet at all.

I'm surprised that had magnetix there.

Hi. I'm praying now that the boys are sleeping well, and have a lovely day tomorrow. It's so good to have a date in mind, I know. Friday will be here before you know it, and then the next countdown can begin! Love, Jenny
