Successful submission...sorta

Yesterday, our documents were submtitted to the SDA! However, we were missing an important paper, it seems. They will not issue an appt date until we give them this paper. So, off to Montgomery the boys and I went to track down the papers and have them apostilled. It was a flying trip, but a successful one. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant, which made the trip much more tolerable. The lady who does the apostilles asked if we were any closer- we have seen her 3 times now within a few weeks!!

Our friends are traveling to Ukraine today to finish up their adoption and they have graciously agreed to carry our documents with them and get them to our facilitator. What a blessing!!!

Now, we wait until these new papers are submitted to the SDA and then we wait to hear of an appt date. That's the name of the game......wait!

David and Laura, I just found your blog. Congratulations on your submission...sorta. Did the SDA take your dossier and then request one more piece? If you would like to share a little with me, please e-mail me (address on my profile). I'm so excited for you! We are nearly done with our dossier, but we keep getting documents that have errors on them. Sigh. But God knows why there are delays, and we must trust Him!
